Michael has been around racing his entire life, as his father was the Chief Engineer on the NASCAR Sportsman cars driven by legendary driver Pete Corey.  The team’s success, which included winning numerous track championships around the Northeast and the coveted Race of Champions at Langhorne Speedway, created a passion for the sport that continues in Michael to this day.

Michael started his own racing career in 1989 when he began competing in SCCA’s Sport Renault division.  A promising career, which included a pole and podium finish at Lime Rock Park, soon took a back seat to raising a family and ever increasing job responsibilities.  The passion to return to the track is still there and Michael hopes to return to the track in 2014.  2014 may also see the driving debut of Michael Jr. as he is busy building a 1992 Nissan 240sx to campaign on the drift circuit.
